If you’re looking for opportunities to live and work in Armenia for an extended period, the Armenian Volunteer Corps newest program TEACH might be just what you’re looking for.
TEACH is a special ten-month program offering volunteer service opportunities to native English speakers to serve in middle schools and high schools in Armenia complementing the existing curriculum and helping to develop leadership, civic responsibility, and global awareness through English language learning.
To be eligible for TEACH, applicants must be at least 21 years of age, have received a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university by August 1st, and be available for ten full months of service beginning August 15.
TEACH volunteers will receive:
- Round Trip Airfare via reimbursement
- Housing and breakfast with a host family
- A stipend consistent with local living standards
- Training and support
- Eastern Armenian language classes
- The opportunity to participate in forums/gatherings
- The opportunity to participate in periodic excursions throughout Armenia
All applicants are required to complete an AVC TEACH application. See how to apply here: http://armenianvolunteer.org/teach-in-armenia/about-teach
AVC’s TEACH admissions process operates on a rolling basis. If you think TEACH might be for you, I encourage you to submit your completed application as soon as possible. You will find more information about AVC’s TEACH program on our website: http://armenianvolunteer.org/teach-in-armenia/how-to-apply
